PE Extra-curricular highlights: Week beginning 20th November

PE Extra-curricular highlights:

A great week of sports with winning streaks continued as several teams unbeaten, record breaking attendance and a celebrity visitor.


  • Year 7 boys X-country team won the Altrincham district league. This is the first time AOM has won the league since 1987! Josh Colquhoun (Year 7) and Alex Finny (Year 9) came 2nd overall in their age group.
  • Year 10 Netball team finish the season at the top of the league as they remain unbeaten since year they started in year 7.
  • Year 7 Rugby team were crowned champions at the North West Shield Competition after winning all their games. They remain unbeaten so far this year. Player of the competition Dan Welford
  • Year 7 A,B and C Basketball teams remain unbeaten, winning against our toughest opponents Urmston Grammar The A-team won 58-18 with player of the match Harry Murray-Gordos
  • Year 11 Football team beat our Australian visitors from Queesnland 9-1 in a friendly game. Our visitors were thrilled with a visit from England’s U18 captain and Man United star Angle Gomes.
  • Total Ninja continues to prove popular with a record breaking 75 pupils attending the club.
