Headteacher Message

Mr. McConaghie

The school term has started at pace. Our positive Ofsted inspection last week has meant we have been able to praise many of our young people on how they conducted themselves around the school and in specific meetings with inspectors. We remain proud of our school and, rest assured, leaders, teachers and support staff will continue to be relentlessly ambitious for every pupil as we move forward together.   My assemblies with all year groups, next week, will reflect upon our inspection and specifically on how our visitors recognised the high quality of education provided at Ashton on Mersey School. My assemblies will also revisit our six values which live and breathe in all areas of our school. In many ways they are values which simply create a good citizen and our collective aim is for them to embodied by our whole school community each and every day. From next week you will notice that our Stars of the Week will signpost where a pupil has exhibited a value clearly and proudly. Look out for you child’s name on the newsletter every Friday.
