Headteacher Message

Mr. McConaghie

The first week of this academic year has been one of the very best that I can recall. All pupils have returned with enthusiasm and I am especially impressed with our new Year 7 cohort. They have swiftly found their feet.   Our Sixth Form is the busiest it has ever been with every A-Level and Vocational course up and running and our new Y12 cohort excited at commencing new pathways. There are a still a very small number of places left on specific courses so please call the Sixth Form with any enquiries. We still may be able to meet your needs post 16.   All of our pupils have been enjoying the new catering offer delivered by Aspens. We have a brand new menu with innovative new dishes, alongside some splashes of colour in our dining areas. Can I encourage all pupils to bring a water bottle to school so they can fill up regularly at one of our hydration stations. Next week is ‘Welcome to Year 11’ evening. All parents, carers and pupils (in Y11) are invited to come along a listen to key elements of information, advice and guidance on the crucial year that lies ahead for this year group. I look forward to seeing you on Thursday at 6pm.   Have a great weekend.
